West Virginia Muzzleloader Association

I want to thank the Kate Carpenter club for hosting the State Offhand, and the hospitality they extended to all the shooters. The shotgun shooting on Friday and Saturday was a big success especially for the younger shooters. Thank you Willie Perkins and Dave Gutshaw for the use of your guns, shells and traps. Maybe we can work in some shotgun shooting next year. We had 63 shooters, 19 were from out of West Virginia. We had shooters from Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. I want to extend a thank you to HP Gregory for making a rifle for the top West Virginia shooter. If you didn’t attend this years offhand, try to make it next year. The host club will be the Potomac Valley Muzzle Loaders in Maysville. To put on a big match like this takes a lot of hard work from several people. I want to recognize Todd Ware for running this match, Bonnie Serrett, Donnis Trader and Rebecca Lewis for selling targets, and last but not least Ray Menendez for scoring targets. Excellent job done by all.
